3 steps to ruining a great TV show
Step 1: Take a popular award-winning and very funny British show (e.g. The Office)
Step 2: Change everything good about the show (different cast, Wernham Hogg becomes Dunder Mifflin, David Brent becomes Michael Scott, Slough becomes New Jersey etc)
Step 3: Tone it down for a pre-watershed primetime slot on NBC - the largest network in America
Congratulations. You have successfully ruined "The Office". Sit back, get ready to be critically panned and do very badly in the ratings, causing your show to be axed after 3 episodes*. Series begins on Thursday.
