Next business idea...

This is an absolute goldmine waiting to happen. Riding on the popularity of the Apple iPod, services are popping up all over the place that will take your entire CD/vinyl collection and convert it all to MP3. Services differ at this point - they either burn everything onto data DVDs or actually load up your iPod. Here's an article about this phenomenon. HungryPod sounds the most interesting (they actually drive to your house to pick up the CDs), but RipDigital shows how it can be done on a bigger scale.
It's worth pointing out that both FeedMyPod.co.uk and FeedMyiPod.co.uk (legal issue?) are currently unregistered...
I envisage offering a Greater Manchester-based service that picks up your iPod and CDs or vinyl records and comes back 4 days later with a fully-loaded iPod. With Christmas coming up, the new year would be the best time to launch/market such a service. Not sure how HungryPod actually load the iPod without having the customer's PC/Mac to hand as the iPod has to register to one computer only. I've dropped them an email and await their response.
